All is, or rather was, not lost!

A couple of days ago I bought a small program called Savvy Clipboard. It remembers anything you have copied to the clipboard - up to a preset number of items anyway. Yesterday I set it to remember the last 100 items as I was doing a little cutting and pasting from one application to another. It occurred to me whilst I was sitting in McDonalds (an emergency - I decided that I couldn’t shop without eating first and it was either that or Kudu, next to the Giant Store) that most of my reports would still be on the clipboard. Indeed they were, and so with a few minutes of clicking, I have largely restored my database. There are just one or two items missing, but nothing too important.
