At the beginning of the monsoon season the fields are ploughed by the men and buffalo before they are planted with rice by the women. Notice the traditional 'umbrellas' at the edge of the rice seed bed. The ladies were very happy in their work and started throwing mud at Dambar, my guide, as he was teasing them.
