I didn’t end up at the destination I had intended, but that didn’t bother me. It was the sign of great indecision though. As I wondered the streets of Hatyai I couldn’t decide where to have a coffee, a beer or a meal. In the end, and my patience running thin I said, to myself for there was no one else to listen.
“For God’s sake just choose somewhere.”
So I did - a small roadside stall where a little old lady made me a meal on a portable wok. Delicious.
What to do? The choices: 1) fly home early; 2) go to Tioman and do a diving course; 3) go down the west coast to Singapore. At various points in the evening all these options were on the cards and seemed like the right thing to do at that moment. Ten minutes later and I had changed my mind.
